HEALTH EQUITY

AFCAMP promotes solutions to disparities in healthcare access and outcomes for children with disabilities and people of color across the continuum of primary and behavioral health care systems. The focus of AFCAMP's health equity work is to:

  • Empower, engage, and prepare  parents, youth, and young adults to become effective advocates for their own and/or their children's healthcare needs

  • Advocate for policy and system reforms to eliminate institutional barriers to access to quality healthcare services for children, parents, and others in communities of color
