WHO WE ARE

Advocacy, Education, Resources & Support

Celebrating 20 years of service, African Caribbean American Parents of Children with Disabilities (AFCAMP), a nonprofit with headquarters in Hartford, CT, provides resources, training and advocacy to help parents become their children’s best advocate. From its inception, pursuing equity has fueled our work to change systemic policies and practices that lead to adverse outcomes for children with disabilities and their families, especially those who are of color and limited means. We focus our efforts on the child-serving systems of education, justice, and health.
